Dazu werden im Folgenden notwendige Begriffe zum Übergang von der KiTa zur Grundschule und zum Spracherwerb geklärt, sowie Informationen über die Stellung von Schule in einer Migrationsgesellschaft gegeben. Im Abschnitt Empirie wird u.a. die Methode der Interviews mit Vorschulkindern sowie das WEGE-Projekt erläutert. Im Anschluss daran werden die zentralen Erkenntnisse aus den Interviews dargestellt. Es folgen Auswertungen und Interpretationen derselben, sowie eine Darstellung gezielter Fördermöglichkeiten, die sich aus dem Befund der Empirie entwickeln lassen. Zuletzt wird im Abschnitt Fazit zum einen ein Resümee aus den gewonnen Erkenntnissen gezogen und zum anderen die Bedeutung von Sprachförderung im Kontext Migration abschließend verdeutlicht.

Besonders in der aktuellen Diskussion, wie mit den großen Flüchtlingsströmen umzu-gehen ist, bekommt die Sprachproblematik einen immer bedeutenderen Stellenwert. Von den Menschen, die zu uns kommen, wird gefordert sich in unsere Gesellschaft zu integrieren. Dies stellt aufgrund der Sprachbarriere zunächst ein Hindernis dar. Verständigung ist nur schwer möglich, wenn keine Übersetzungshilfe vorhanden ist. Absprachen, Behördengänge und Anweisungen zu folgen stellen sich als scheinbar unmögliche Aufgaben dar. Tatsache ist: „Deutsch ist die Sprache, in der sich in Deutschland Bildung vollzieht, auf ihrer Beherrschung baut der Schulerfolg auf.“ Daher ist es von sehr hoher Bedeutung, dass Flüchtlinge Zugang zum Erlernen dieser Sprache bekommen und möglichst schon im jungen adjust damit begonnen wird, damit oben genannte Probleme gar nicht erst entstehen.
